Según la información de Esquire, se le solicitó al doctor Jacob Jolij de la Universidad de Groningen (Holanda) que realice un estudio. La investigación se centraba en crear una fórmula matemática para medir cuantitativamente las canciones más alegres de la historia.
Esta fórmula mide el grado de festividad y alegría de las canciones musicales. El doctor Jolij se basó en el tiempo medio, la cual debe estar encima de las 140 pulsaciones por minuto y esta fue el top de las 10 canciones más alegres, liderado por Queen.
